Wireless Alert Notification System - Overview and Features
Rapid Response is a fully wireless duress notification system that enables staff to quickly and effectively communicate emergencies. It provides exact user and location data, drastically reducing response time and saving lives.
Unlike traditional wired systems, Rapid Response is cost-effective and easy to install. Wireless repeaters require no cabling or AC power, running for two years on battery. The Hub, the only powered device, has a battery backup for outages. Personal alarms, including the Pager and Call Fob, operate on rechargeable batteries. The system is independent of wireless carriers, ensuring no interference and eliminating monthly fees.
Rapid Response also functions as a staff communication tool. Networked text messaging software allows PC-based messaging to individuals or groups, ideal for mobile staff like maintenance, management, and emergency teams. Call logs track sent messages and responses. Integration with auto dialers, LED signs, and PA systems allows for customized solutions.
Types of Alerts:
MANUAL DURESS: A simple button press on the Call Fob or Pager triggers an alarm, instantly sending user and location data across the network to security and select staff.
· Emergency notifications (chemical spills, fire alarms, weather alerts, intruders) are sent via two-way pager.
· Acknowledgment of received messages is sent back to dispatch.
· "All Clear" messages can be sent to groups, categorized by job function.
· Routine messages for staff meetings, visitor alerts, and morale updates.
· Continuous tracking as users travel through the facility.
· Outdoor enclosures extend coverage to parking areas, walkways, and rooftops.
MAN-DOWN: If the device tilts beyond a certain angle, a built-in tilt switch automatically sends a user and location alert to the Hub and two-way pagers.
NO-RESPONSE: When enabled, this feature periodically alerts the Fob or Pager, requiring user acknowledgment. If two alerts go unanswered, a warning tone is followed by an automatic notification to security.
